Day 1

Arrival in Rameswaram and Visit to Ramanathaswamy Temple

This trip begins once you head to Rameswaram, which is a really important pilgrimage place in Tamil Nadu. Char Dham Yatra is one of the holiest places for Hindus. When you get there and check in to your hotel to freshen up and then you start your spiritual journey.

Ramanathaswamy Temple is one of the most sacred temples in India and is the first spot to visit. This temple is a Lord Shiva temple dedicated to Lord Shiva and famous for the longest temple corridor in the world, beautifully carved attractions, and 22 holy water tanks where devotees take a dip and pray.

As it is said that Lord Rama had come here to be able to install a Shiva Lingam and to seek a blessing before he pressed on his journey to Lanka. As you come into the temple, you will be fed spiritually and with devotion.

Agni Theertham is one of the holy seashores near the temple where pilgrims perform rituals and take a dip. Later, return to your hotel for a restful night.

Day 2

Visit To Dhanushkodi Temple

When you begin your second day, begin this day by visiting the Dhanushkodi Temple in the ghost town of Dhanushkodi. This place is believed to be the place where Lord Rama and his army made the Ram Setu (Adam’s Bridge) to Lanka. The temple caught fire and was damaged in a cyclone in 1964, but the ruins are very large within the temple itself.

This is mesmerizing for the vast, untouched beach and the meeting point of the Bay of Bengal and the Indian Ocean. Sit down, and have some peace of mind, the divine energy of the place is all soaking in.

Later in the afternoon, head to the Gandhamadhana Parvatham Temple, a small yet major shrine found in Rameswaram. Inside this temple, it is believed that Lord Rama's footprint is imprinted upon a stone. From the top of the tower, you can see the Rameswaram temple town, the sea and the lush greenery. It is a nice location to be at, to meditate, reflect and relax.

After travelling the road, take the time to visit the temples of Lord Buddha, return to your hotel, and spend the night resting.

Day 3

Leisure & Departure

So on your last day, go to the market of Rameswaram and buy some souvenirs like hand crafted idols, Rudraksha beads, temple artifacts.
